![]() Gym memberships can be expensive and, after a while, can become draining to the pocketbook. But, exercising is necessary for living a long, healthy life. Aerobic exercise is important for a healthy heart, preventing development of chronic diseases and improving overall wellbeing. Resistance training should be done in addition to aerobic exercise to help improve muscle strength and endurance. The benefits of resistance training include reducing body fat, preventing muscle loss, and prevention of many diseases. All you need for an at home workout is canned goods or a set of weights. Below are some exercises that can be done in the comfort of your own home and won’t cost you a dime! 1.Use canned goods for bicep curls, overhead press, and tricep extensions. 2.Pull some skills from your childhood and jump rope, hula hoop, or do some jumping jacks. 3.Take a walk or a bike ride around the neighborhood. 4.Instead of being out in the elements, run in place,walk/jog up and down the steps, 5.D do several sets of burpees or lunges, and strived to break a personal record. 6.Take the stairs at work or park far from where you are going. 7.Take advantage of your local high school or college track.
