As you set your New Year’s Goals, don’t forget the young ones in your home. Be an awesome role model, and don’t forget to include them in your activities! We have included a couple of ideas of “achievable New Year’s Goals” for 2020 as reported by Good Housekeeping:
  • Goal 1: Cook a new thing each week. Let everyone in the household pick the new recipe for the week and work on the dish together. Not only will this be a fun bonding activity, but kids that help make food are more likely to eat it, so less waste!​
  • Goal 2: Do one new exercise move. Physical activity is a great way to bond as a family. Have everyone pick their favorite exercise move and do it as a family. Why not take it a step further and pick an activity like going to a jump park or starting up an exercise class at your local gym together.
  • Goal 3: Drink up! This is an easy way to be a great role model – drink less soda and drink more water! Show the kids how easy and refreshing water can be. And, if you are looking for ways to spruce it up, add your favorite fruit or even cucumber to add some extra flavor without the calories.
